The forthcoming 2024 BMW X6 SUV is coming to the markets once again. This new model will hit the roads in the second half of 2023, and it will introduce a couple of improvements. The appearance will improve, thanks to mild upgrades on and around the front fascia.
Furthermore, the interior should gain new infotainment, more driver-assist features, and more standard features in general. Under the hood, we do not expect any sort of improvement. Still, there’s no need to, as the BMW X6 is one of the most powerful SUVs in its class, especially the X6 M Competition version.
Exterior and Interior Changes
The upcoming 2024 BMW X6 will receive a mid-cycle facelift. For a start, the signature grille remains the same in terms of both style and size, but the headlights have been refreshed to be sleeker and more eye-catching. New air intakes have also been added to make the BMW X6 look even more aggressive. Additionally, the M60i version will have special parts designed specifically for it.
At the back, the X6 has new lights similar to those seen on the smaller X3 and X5 models. The quad-exhaust pipes also add to the sporty look. To complete the update, BMW has refreshed the X6’s color palette, which now includes colors such as Frozen Pure Gray, Skyscraper Gray, Brooklyn Grey, and Blue Ridge Mountain. The M package, on the other hand, offers the familiar Isle of Man Green color which is already available on the X3 lineup.
BMW X6 Engine Specs
The all-new 2024 BMW X6 boasts not only a striking design but also a remarkable powertrain lineup. While there are no significant changes made to the engines, it’s not necessary since the competition still can’t match the performance of this potent SUV. The base trim level comes with a 3.0-liter turbo-six engine, which generates 375 horsepower and almost 400 lb-ft of torque.
The xDrive AWD is standard, and an 8-speed transmission sends power to the axles. There is also an optional V8 engine, which hasn’t been enhanced for the 2024MY. This engine produces 523 horsepower and 552 lb-ft of torque. Only the M Performance package can surpass this output. Keep in mind that the V8 engine is significantly more expensive than the base engine.
BMW X6 M Competition Review
The high-performance 2024 BMW X6 M Competition is unbeatable in terms of power. While there are a few more powerful SUVs on the market, the overall impression of the German SUV is definitely one to stand out. Powered by a 4.4-liter V8 engine capable of delivering 600 horsepower, it is one of the most potent SUVs on the market.
While the new edition is not yet available, fans are hopeful that engineers may be able to further enhance its power. If not, there is still the Competition package, which adds an additional 17 horsepower. The fuel-thirsty X6 M will take you from 0 to 60 mph in just 3.5 seconds.
2024 BMW X6 Price and Release Date
The price of the new 2024 BMW X6 will jump, but not dramatically. The base model starts at around $73,000. On top of that, optional V8 engine will add around $20k to the existing price. The most expensive variant is the X6 M, which costs above $130,000. BMW will launch new X6 SUV in the third quarter of 2023.
