The next-generation 2024 Audi Q7 will reportedly arrive sometime next year, featuring numerous upgrades and changes. First and foremost, the manufacturer will introduce for the first time a pure electric variant and PHEV version as well.
So, it seems that the combustion engine will no longer be available. Besides new engines, the forthcoming Q7 will also receive a complete refresh inside and out. As far as we know, the new SUV will be built in Volkswagen’s plant in Slovakia, in which many Audi cars are made since 2005. Audi has confirmed that alongside Audi Q7 we can expect more pure electric vehicles in near future to come out. So, without further ado, let’s see what kind of changes are incoming with the new Q7.
2024 Audi Q7 Redesign
It’s too early to talk about the design of the 2024 Audi Q7 but illustrator Lars Saltzer’s rendered this model recently, and we must admit, it looks really attractive. First of all, we notice that the new SUV wears many design cues from the smaller Q4 E-Tron.
It borrows the same front fascia, octagonal Singleframe, and noticeably slimmer and sharper headlamps. This striking appearance is a step up compared to the current Q7’s face, which looks outdated.
More Luxury Inside
The interior of the 2024 Audi Q7 will be new and more upscale. However, just like the model before, the new one will offer three rows of seats and enough room for up to seven passengers. We also expect to see more high-quality materials and the same luggage space of 14.2 cubic feet with all the seats in the place.
Anyway, with seats folded. You can count on 69.6 cubic feet. Audi’s 12.3-inch digital driver information display (known as Virtual Cockpit) will be updated, and we expect the same with the infotainment display. As standard, this model offers Wi-Fi, navigation, Apple CarPlay/Android Auto smartphone integration, and a 10-speaker sound system.
Among the safety features are forward-collision warning, blind-spot monitoring, lane-departure warning, rear collision mitigation, front/rear parking sensors, and a vehicle exit warning.
2024 Audi Q7 Engine Options
As we said, the combustion engine could be no longer available, and it seems that the new 2024 Audi Q7 will only come with electric and PHEV setups. The all-electric model will reportedly use two electric motors, resulting in an all-wheel as standard.
Thanks to high-capacity batteries and efficient motors, this model should deliver at least 300 miles on a single charge. The plug-in hybrid variant is also rumored, and if this proves to be accurate, it will offer an EV range of more than 50 miles (80 km) on the WLTP cycle.
2024 Audi Q7 Price, Release Date
Audi didn’t reveal any information regarding the price and release date of the 2024 Audi Q7. Anyway, according to many websites, the new SUV will probably cost significantly more than before.
So, we presume that it will cost around $70,000 for an all-electric variant, while the PHEV model should cost a couple of thousands of dollars less. The next-gen Audi Q7 will arrive sometime in 2023 as a 2024-year model.
