The forthcoming 2023 Lamborghini Urus will receive a mid-cycle refresh, according to the latest spy shots. Despite the pandemic situation, Lamborghini managed to sell over 7,500 vehicles last year, and interestingly, the Urus accounting around 59% percent of this tally.
The prototype of this model has been spotted on multiple locations, and it wears a lot of camouflage gears. Moreover, we noticed some changes, including a new front fascia with additional vents at the outer edges, and there’s also a new hood. Besides exterior upgrades, there’s likely to be some tweaks inside as well. We’re expecting an updated infotainment system and more advanced electronic driver-assist features.
Is the Lamborghini Urus a Good SUV?
The answer is definitively yes. This SUV is one of the most eye-catching on the market thanks to its aggressive look. The new 2023 Lamborghini Urus has been spotted this year a couple of times, and every time, it was camouflaged. According to the latest spy shots, the caught prototype wears a lot of camouflage gears, but we immediately noticed that it wears a new front fascia with some additional vents.
Just in case you miss, the “air curtains” are there to help direct air flow around the flanks of the vehicle. We also saw some refreshments at the rear end, including much better taillights graphics, and more sporty lines.
Interior Tweaks
Besides mild exterior upgrades, the 2023 Lamborghini Urus could also gain some tweaks inside. From what we heard, the manufacturer will likely add more quality materials and an updated infotainment system. The current model is using the latest Lamborghini’s Infotainment System III (LIS III) that’s connected to the two high-resolution touchscreens.
The top screen operates features like sat-nav, radio, vehicle settings, telephone, while the secondary screen predominantly controls the climate settings. However, as before, the same seating layout remains, and Urus can fit up to five passengers, offering maximum comfort. We should also expect it to come with more advanced electronic driver-assist features.
2023 Lamborghini Urus Engine Specs
Beneath the hood, the 2023 Lamborghini Urus is likely to come with the same engine as the outgoing one. In general, Lamborghini hasn’t mentioned any other powertrain options, but we got information that an additional powertrain would be available at some point.
The most likely outcome is a plug-in hybrid, same as one featured in the Porsche Cayenne Turbo S E-Hybrid. Under this model, this combined system generates 670 hp from a 4.0-liter twin-turbocharged V8 powertrain and electric motor. Currently, the Urus comes exclusively with a powerful 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 that is able to produce 641 hp. Thanks to this engine, the Urus can run from 0-60 mph in about 3.5 seconds and tops 189 mph.
Price, Release Date
Along with several changes outside and inside, the forthcoming SUV will likely gain the same PHEV system as the Porsche Cayenne Turbo SE.
However, considering mild visual upgrades, we can expect the base model to start at $222,000, while PHEV should be at least $230,000. As we mentioned, we’re expecting this amazing SUV to debut next year as the 2023YM.
