2023 Jeep Wrangler: Redesign, Engine Specs, Release Date, Price

2023 Jeep Wrangler front

The new 2023 Jeep Wrangler will reportedly hit the market next year with some mild improvements. Like before, this SUV will remain attractive and is engineered to do one thing extremely well, and that’s to go off-roading. Despite mild changes this year, the Wrangler will continue to be available in 2-door and 4-door format or also known as the Wrangler Unlimited.

Unlike other models in the class, this SUV offers more uniqueness. It features hardtops and soft-tops, doors that can be removed, and various trims and special editions. Thanks to raised suspension, widened track, and toughen components, this SUV will tackle the most extreme terrain with ease.

What`s New?

The 2023 Jeep Wrangler design will not change too much. In general, this SUV will remain proportionally the same, featuring some minor refreshments on the front and rear fascia. The recognized traditional look is still present with the same rounded headlights and seven slot grille.

Like its predecessor, the 2023 Wrangler is available in 2-door and 4-door format (Wrangler Unlimited). Also, there are hardtops and soft-tops, doors that can be removed, a windshield that can be lowered flat. With raised suspension and large wheels, this SUV can tackle the most extreme terrain. On top of that, this SUV is available in various trims, and you can also get a special edition as well.

2023 Jeep Wrangler Offers More Comfort

The 2023 Jeep Wrangler is not the most spacious SUV available, but it still provides great comfort inside. Like before, the Wrangler looks unique, and it has blend of vintage and modern Jeep character. This is right now the only available SUV where you can really just pop the top and remove the doors.

It features a squared-off dashboard, eye-catching round air vents, power windows, and a great infotainment system with the latest interface Uconnect. Like before, the touchscreen will be available in three sizes. Apple Car Play and Android Auto will finally be available as standard, as well as the navigation and a nine-speaker Alpine audio system.

2023 Jeep Wrangler Powertrain Specs

Beneath the hood, the 2023 Jeep Wrangler will be available with the same engines as before. The standard is a 3.6-liter V-6 that makes 285 hp. This unit sends power through a six-speed manual gearbox or a smooth-shifting eight-speed automatic. A turbocharged four-cylinder engine is optional, and it comes up with an electric motor to provide additional low-end power. The new Wrangler can also be equipped with a 3.6-liter V-6 with similar hybrid assist.

There is also a 3.0-liter diesel V-6, 6.4-liter V-8, and a new plug-in hybrid 4xe powertrain that delivers 375-hp and up to 25 miles of electric-only driving. With the V6 and the six-speed manual transmission, the Wrangler can sprint from zero to 60 mph in 6.1 seconds, while the four-door Sahara was slightly quicker at 6.5 seconds to 60 mph. The new Wrangler’s EPA fuel-economy estimates of diesel 22 mpg city and 29 highways put this SUV ahead of rivals such as the Chevrolet Colorado ZR2 and the Toyota 4Runner.
