The more pet-friendly 2023 Honda Element is coming. According to the latest reports, the next-generation Element will receive significant upgrades over the previous generation. For those who may not know, this model was for the first time introduced in early 2000s, and it gains many fans thanks to its boxy design.
After more than a decade ago, this model was discontinued because sales started to go down. However, we’re hearing so many rumors about the comeback, which could happen next year. Unfortunately, officials are still quiet about the new model, but many renderings are available. Just like before, the Honda Element will try to compete with other models in the class in which the main rival is the KIA Soul.
2023 Honda Element: What to Expect?
When it comes to design characteristics, we expect the forthcoming 2023 Honda Element to be more stylish than before. Some of the latest renderings are available, and it seems that the new model will follow the path of the original. Of course, the upcoming model will bring many new features, and it could ride on Honda’s latest platform.
Anyway, the overall layout would remain largely the same, while size would be slotted between the HR-V and compact CR-V. In general, all mentioned models would share a lot of parts, but the Element should stand out with its unique styling.
Interior Rumors
The most impressive thing about the 2023 Honda Element would be its interior. Thanks to the boxy shape, this model is very practical, offering plenty of room. In two-rows of seats, the Element can fit up to five passengers, offering plenty of headrooms and legroom as well.
We would also expect the new SUV to borrow many things from other modern cars in the Honda lineup. So, expect a very modern dashboard, more than before quality materials, and a lot of standard tech features. As the first ever dog-friendly model, the Element comes with a Soft-sided cargo area with a cushioned pet bed and elevated platform. On top of that, the manufacturer also used soft floor surface for the dog’s legs and paws.
Engine Specs
Under the hood, we presume that the Japanese manufacturer would offer several powertrain options. In our opinion, the best outcome is probably a 1.5-liter turbo-four that puts out around 190 horsepower. Of course, we expect to see at least one hybrid powertrain as well.
From many reports, the Element could borrow the same engine that powers the current Accord. The engine which combines a 2.0-liter inline-four engine with a couple of electric motors offers a total output of 212 horsepower. We also expect to see a plug-in hybrid version or even the first all-electric Element as well.
Will There Be a 2023 Honda Element?
Although we cannot find any official reports that suggest the 2023 Honda Element could already arrive next year, many believe that its comeback is very near.
As we said, the Element is the model that was discontinued more than a decade ago, but considering many comebacks from this manufacturer (Civic Type R, Honda S2000), it’s quite a huge possibility that the new Element will appear as well. Therefore, if the rumors prove to be accurate, we expect the new model to cost around 25.000 dollars.
