The redesigned 2023 Ford Everest has been spied testing for the first time with the Ranger underpinnings and new styling. The all-new SUV will depart from the outgoing model in many things. It features a more attractive design language and plenty of novelties inside.
According to the photographers, the upcoming model was snapped near Ford headquarters in Dearborn, Michigan. Interestingly, we first noticed new headlights that look similar to those used by the new Ford Ranger. Besides headlights, the Everest also comes with an overhauled front grille and bumper. Reportedly, the new SUV will debut in 2022 as a 2023 year model.
2023 Ford Everest Redesign
The first spy shots of the newest 2023 Ford Everest are available, and they reveal minor changes. However, considering that the spied prototype is in the testing stage, we can expect more changes in the future. First of all, we noticed many similarities with the famous Ford Ranger. The headlights have a very similar lobster-claw shape and significantly more road presence than the current SUV.
Also, Blue Oval made some changes, and it hosts an overhauled the front grille and bumper. Viewed from the side, the forthcoming SUV appears more upright than its predecessor. It features prominent side steps and more attractive rocking gloss black wheels that are wrapped in Goodyear tires. However, the presence of heavy camouflage makes it difficult to determine what changes are below. The rear end is also different, and it comes with new taillights and a reshaped bumper.
Cabin Upgrades
At this point, there are no photos inside the new 2023 Ford Everest. However, from various reports, the latest SUV will come with a completely new cabin. We can expect more comfortable seats and plenty of quality materials.
In addition, high-end variants will come with a digital instrument cluster and infotainment system that supports over-the-air updates. Besides, plenty of new safety tech can also be expected, including speed sign recognition, radar cruise control, blind-zone warning, and rear-cross traffic alert.
2023 Ford Everest Powertrain Specs
The next generation, 2023 Ford Everest, will share its underpinnings and many other elements with the 2023 Ford Ranger. So, we can also expect them to share the same engines. As such, the pair should be offered with a twin-turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder diesel and a 3.0-liter turbo-diesel V6.
Both machines should come with a solo 10-speed automatic transmission. Many believe that Blue Oval company will add some electrification as on the upcoming Ford F-150. However, at this point, there is no official statement by the officials.
Release Date and Price
The presence of heavy camouflage across the 2023 Ford Everest body makes it difficult to determine what changes have been made. We saw some minor upgrades, but nothing significant. As we mentioned, the redesigned model is on the way, and we should expect it to debut sometime next year, probably in the second half of the year.
Pricing is still a mystery, but it could be a couple of thousand dollars more than before from some rough information. It could start at $28,000 for the base model, while upper trims might pass the $34,000 figure.
