One of the most luxury crossovers, the 2023 Cadillac XT6, has been recently spied testing, luckily without heavy camouflage. As we can see, the new model is roaming the streets of Chicago with a covered front fascia, under which is believed to be a slightly reworked grille.
It’s also worth noting that the new luxury 3-row midsize crossover, according to the manufacturer, will be available for the first time with an advanced Super Cruise system. However, like the model before, we’re expecting this SUV to be propels with the same turbocharged 2.0-liter 4-cylinder unit as standard and with 3.6-liter V6 as an optional.
2023 Cadillac XT6 Redesign
The exterior design of the new 2023 Cadillac XT6 remains almost identical as on the outgoing one. At last, some changes will happen at the front, and we’re expecting a reworked shield-shaped grille, flanked by thin LED headlights. Roof rails are standard, and if you go for the Sport model, you’ll get it with a black finish. As before, Cadillac will offer a few exterior cosmetic bundles.
The Radiant package is a great option that adds bright chrome finish for the grille and 20-inch alloy wheels. The lighting model should be available as well, and this one offers dual exhaust outlets on models with the V6 engine.
Cabin Upgrades
Inside, the 2023 Cadillac XT6 will be more handsome, thanks to use of high-quality materials. This SUV in standard form offers seating for seven. However, adding an optional second-row captain chair will bring down seats to six. Considering that there are no dimensional changes, the third-row legroom remains 29.5 inches, while the second row offers a generous 39.1 inches.
On the tech side, the new XT6 will include a 3-zone automatic climate control, leather-wrapped steering wheel, and great 8-inch touchscreen, other features that are available as well includes satellite radio, wireless Apple CarPlay/Android Auto smartphone integration, Wi-Fi, two USB-A ports, natural voice recognition, and a Bose 8-speaker audio setup. On the protection front, this SUV comes with forward collision alert with automatic emergency braking and pedestrian detection, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, front and rear parking sensors, and Teen Driver.
2023 Cadillac XT6 Engine Specs
Under the hood, the forthcoming 2023 Cadillac XT6 will be available with two engine options. The base model in Luxury trim is powered by a turbocharged 2.0-liter 4-cylinder unit making 237 horsepower. The engine uses a 9-speed automatic transmission and front wheels in standard form or an optional all-wheel-drive system.
Premium Luxury and Sport trims models will both use 3.6-liter V6 powertrain, which makes 310-horsepower. Unlike the base one, this one comes exclusively with a 9-speed automatic transmission, and all-wheel drive is standard. A 4-cylinder engine has a towing capacity of 1,000 pounds, while the V6 version can tow up to 4,000 pounds.
How Much It Will Cost?
The new 2023 Cadillac XT6 as before will be available in a few trim levels. The base front-drive Luxury version starts at $48,600, plus destination charge. We recommend jumping to the Premium Luxury trim, which brings extra equipment for an additional $4,400. The all-wheel-drive Sport should cost less than $59,000, and it will be pushing that price closer to $70k with a bunch of options. Adding all-wheel drive will cost another $2,000.
For comparison, the Volvo XC90 and Genesis GV80 are around $50k, while the Lincoln Aviator costs more than $51k. Based on some leaked information, the refreshed Cadillac XT6 will hit stores in June of 2022.
