Cadillac has revealed the first images of its upcoming new performance SUV. Based on news, the forthcoming model will be called the 2023 Cadillac Escalade V, and it will depart from the original Escalade in many things. It will feature a revised front bumper, quad-tip exhaust, lots of black trims, and a faux-rear diffuser. On top of that, the cabin of this model is sportier, and it comes with many advanced technologies.
As for the powertrain, the power is expected to come from a detuned version of the supercharged 6.2-liter LT4 V8, the same engine that powers the current CT5-V Blackwing sedan.
2023 Cadillac Escalade V Design
Visually, the 2023 Cadillac Escalade V is a step up from the original Escalade model. In general, it isn’t a huge departure from the standard Escalade, but it looks much sportier. Thanks to the first images of the new performance SUV, we noticed a mesh grille, rear diffuser, and huge quad exhaust tips. Like the base Escalade that rides on 22-inch wheels, the forthcoming Escapade V also rolls on identical wheels and tires.
However, the Escalade V will come with an updated adaptive air suspension and Magnetic Ride Control dampers. Thanks to that, the big boy will provide better composure while cornering. There are also rumors that Cadillac will also tweak the steering ratio and add more larger brakes as well.
More Sporty Cabin
Right now, we don’t have much information regarding the cabin of the 2023 Cadillac Escalade V. From what we know, Cadillac will make the interior more comfortable adding more quality materials and probably more supportive seats. As you may know, the Cadillac Escalade is one of the biggest SUVs on the market, offering three rows of seats and enough room for seven-eight passengers.
Besides, it offers a generous cargo room behind the third row, making it good for large families. As the base model, we expect to see the same standard 38-inch OLED display, which is truly stunning, providing a crisp graphic. To keep up with other models in class, we presume standard wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay.
2023 Cadillac Escalade V Engine Specs
The forthcoming 2023 Cadillac Escalade V will use a V8 engine, the same that powers the new CT5-V Blackwing model. The current sedan is using a supercharged 6.2-liter V8 engine that produces a massive 668 horsepower and 649 pound-feet of torque.
However, under the Cadillac Escalade V we expect a horsepower advantage over the 420-hp that produces the original Escalade. We also got information that the 10-speed automatic transmission with all-wheel drive would be part of the standard package as well. If you didn’t know, the 10-speed automatic transmission is one of the favorite transmissions, providing quick and smooth shifts that are hardly noticeable.
2023 Cadillac Escalade V Price, Release Date
The 2023 Cadillac Escalade will have a starting price of $76,295 for the Luxury 2WD model. However, the long-wheelbase ESV model starts at $79,295, while the Premium Luxury trim is around $84,895. The most expensive is Sport Platinum and Premium Luxury Platinum, both start at $101,595. So, we expect Cadillac Escalade V to be somewhere between Premium Luxury and Premium Luxury Platinum trims.
The pricing of the Cadillac Escalade is in line with rivals like the Lincoln Navigator, BMW X7 and Mercedes-Benz GLS-Class. The company said in a statement that more information about the upcoming Cadillac Escalade V would be revealed in spring.
