One of Nissan’s best selling model Qashqai will get some serious upgrades. According to the manufacturer, the new 2022 Nissan Qashqai should arrive next year as the 2022 model.
From our reliable source, the third generation Qashqai will be more futuristic and it will borrow many cues from the IMQ concept car. Besides that, the next-gen model will introduce plenty of mechanical changes. Moreover, one can expect a vast number of engines and excellent fuel efficiency.
2022 Nissan Qashqai Redesign
The new 2022 Nissan Qashqai model will be based on the IMQ concept. As you may know, the IMQ model is the SUV that provides a futuristic look never seen from Nissan. From the information that we got, the new Nissan Qashqai will use many cues from this concept model. The same line and shape will be present, and the only difference will be seen on the front fascia.
Nissan will try to combine the recognized Qashqai look with the design of the IMQ model. On top of that, the plug-in hybrid will use the technology developed by Mitsubishi, which is now under Nissan’s umbrella. The concept model comes with a 1.5-liter turbocharged petrol engine that generates the electricity needed to power the electric motors. This version will be definitively available with the all-wheel-drive system. Nissan claims that this powertrain will offer an impressive power output of 340 horsepower.
We think that plug-in hybrid systems won’t be available immediately. However, according to some gossip, it will be available sometime after. Nissan will most notably use a 1.3-liter powertrain and excellent battery capacity alongside an electric motor. Also, we can expect the EV model soon after.

The completely redesigned 2022 Nissan Qashqai will be available to purchase at some point in 2021 as the 2022 model. If rumors are believed to be true, this model will be based on the IMQ concept.
