Engine-wise, Model X uses two AC electric motors and a 100-kWh lithium-ion battery. Thanks to that, it provides a vast driving range and plenty of power. According to news, the sales of the refreshed version will start later in 2020.

Will Tesla Model X Be Updated?

The upcoming 2021 Tesla Model X, compared to sedan S, provides almost identical styling. However, because X is a crossover, it has a different shape and proportion.

Design is futuristic, unique and is very recognized on the road because of that. In fact, it’s the best-looking car around. Unique Falcon Wing doors and sloping roofline provides a modern look. Besides, Tesla Model X features unique blacked-out grille and LED headlights. The standard package includes 17-inch wheels, while black 22-inch wheels might be bought optionally.

Interior Is Modern and Durable

The cabin of 2021 Tesla Model X looks clean, modern and simple. Tesla is a company that produces very durable and quality cabins. Of course, the main highlight is still never seen before a massive touchscreen that dominates in the cabin. Moreover, we must credit Tesla for placing three rows in such a small crossover. Model X has a room for seven passengers. Also, it’s available in five-seat and six-seat configurations.

The seats are incredibly comfortable and Tesla provides plenty of hidden storage areas. Inside, one can found heated steering wheel, heated and power-folding side mirrors, 12-way-power adjustment for the front seats, dual-zone automatic climate control, 17-speaker premium sound system, navigation, and more. Autopilot ADAS (advanced driving-assistance system) is excellent and it includes adaptive cruise control, forward-collision warning, automatic emergency braking, and lane-keeping assist, and blind-spot monitoring.

Driving Range, Acceleration

The latest 2021 Tesla Model X is an all-electric SUV that uses two AC electric motors and a 100-kWh lithium-ion battery. Unlike many models in the same class, the Tesla X sends power to all four wheels. However, each electric motor provides 260 hp and thanks to that, regular version sprints to 60 mph in just 4.4 sec and has a top speed of 155 mph.

The Performance version comes with Ludicrous Mode. Powering on this mode, the new Tesla X needs only 2.7 seconds to reach 60 mph. Tesla said the Long Range SUV could travel an estimated 328 miles on a single charge. As for the Model X Performance, it has a little less range of 305 miles. According to Tesla, any Supercharger will provide up to 115 miles of range in just 15 minutes.

How Much Is the New 2021 Tesla Model X?

The new generation of 2021 Tesla Model X will cost significantly higher than the previous one. We must mention that this model is one of the most expensive on the SUV market, starting at $85,000. This is the price for the Long Range model.
