As we already wrote, the 2021 Subaru Crosstrek sits on the same platform as Subaru Impreza. However, this crossover can be easily replaced with a smaller hatchback due to its dimensions. In terms of changes this year, the new model will bring more refreshments outside.
However, a new generation isn’t a departure from its predecessor. It will get a minor visual change, and it will keep the same lines as before. The front of this crossover will suffer most of the facelift. The fog lights are present as the more additional chrome accents around. Crosstrek Hybrid will differ from standard model thanks to a gloss-black rear roof spoiler.
Furthermore, if we look at the back of Crosstrek model, we can spot a similar design that provides new Subaru Impreza. The taillights are almost the same as the bumper. However, on Crosstrek, we can also see some sharper lines. Tailgate is now according to the latest report four inches wider, and it gives a larger aperture through to load luggage. Roof rails come as standard on this model. Grey Khaki and Sunshine Orange are two new colors that are also present in the current model.
Interior Enhancement
The interior of the 2021 Subaru Crosstrek will be stylish as before. However, the manufacturer will add more quality materials, and techs inside will be updated with the latest one. 2021 Subaru Crosstrek Powertrain
Like before, the 2021 Subaru Crosstrek will continue to offer the same powertrains. The 2.0-liter engine power this SUV and creates 152 horses and 145 lb-ft of torque. This powertrain comes with a 6-speed manual transmission as standard on the Base and Premium models. However, a CVT automatic gearbox is optional and is standard on Limited trim.
The all-wheel-drive system is standard. As for the fuel economy, this model provides 23 mpg in the city and 29 mpg on the highway with the manual gearbox. However, with CVT it delivers 27/33 mpg. The 2021 Subaru Crosstrek is an SUV that can tow up to 1,500 pounds.
Hybrid Specs
The next one powertrain on the list is reserved for a hybrid version. This engine consists of a 2.0-liter flat-4 + 8.8-kWh lithium-ion, and the total combined system provides 148 horsepower. Also, it comes standard with all four wheels system and CVT transmission. Furthermore, with a full battery, charged this model could go 17 miles on pure electric if you keep your speed at 65 mph.
2021 Subaru Crosstrek Price and Release Date
The price of the 2021 Subaru Crosstrek will be the same as before. This model will cost $23,000 for the base version that is available with a manual gearbox. However, choosing a CVT transmission system will raise the price for $1,000 more. Limited trim that is top of the offer will provide more premium features, and it will start at $29,000.
The forthcoming 2021 Subaru Crosstrek will debut in the first quartal of next year. Models such as Nissan Kicks, Mazda CX-3, and Jeep Renegade are the main competitors of the new Crosstrek.
