The Czech brand’s first electric SUV 2021 Skoda Enyaq iV has been finally revealed. The first photos came out, and we can see that the upcoming SUV looks very interesting.
From the information that we got, the new Skoda Enyaq takes its name from the Irish word Enya (which means ‘source of life’). Moreover, the design is attractive, and at the same time traditional. Interestingly, Enyaq shared its underpinnings with the popular small electric hatchback called Volkswagen’s ID.3 hatchback.
2021 Skoda Enyaq iV First Look
The exterior design of the 2021 Skoda Enyaq iV is similar to that on SUVs like Skoda Kamiq, Karoq, and Kodiaq. Generally, all models featuring the same design language, and most similarities can be seen on the front.
This model is recognized by its square headlights and angular grille-effect trim. Basically, you can customize big faux-intake by paying extra for an illuminated ‘crystal’ grille. As you probably know, the same brilliant LED-lit vertical bars you can also get on the latest BMW X6 and the new Rolls-Royce Ghost. From the side, entry-level Enyaq iV models come with 19-inch alloy wheels, while the top-spec model wears much bigger 21-inch wheels.

The latest 2021 Skoda Enyaq iV is the brand’s first-ever electric car. This model is available in few rear-wheel-drive variants. The first one uses a 62kWh battery, and it can produce around 177 hp. From information by officials, this model fully charged, will be able to travel 260 miles. However, the second variant is more potent. This model uses a larger 82 kWh battery producing more than 201 hp. Thanks to large battery capacity, this unit delivers a 310-mile range on a single charge. This model will accelerate from 0-60 in 6.9 seconds.
All Enyaq’s models are capable of charging at the 50kW. However, buyers can also get a faster 125kW that can charge the battery from 10-80% in 40 minutes.
Release Date and Cost
The release date of 2021 Skoda Enyaq iV will happen next year. The pricing of this model will depend on the battery and the equipment you choose. For example, the low entry model that comes with a 62kWh battery, and it uses standard equipment, will cost around $40,000. Of course, choosing a battery with more capacity and more equipment will boost the price easy to $55,000.
