The upcoming 2021 Nissan Pathfinder will finally get some drastic changes. This SUV will go on sale in the second half of 2020 and it will introduce numerous upgrades. For the start, the exterior will look more upscale and sharper. Interior is modern like never before and there will be a room for seven once again.
Thanks to its four trim levels, Pathfinder offers everything you need. The front-wheel-drive setup comes as standard and this SUV will continue to ride on the same platform. Performance-wise, the 2021 Pathfinder will also see some improvements. Whatsoever, a hybrid variant is on the cards.
2021 Nissan Pathfinder Provide Attractive Look
We like what Nissan did with the exterior of the all-new 2021 Nissan Pathfinder. The new model won’t depart from the current one. That means the dimensions and shape are the same. Even the styling will largely remain. However, Pathfinder will now look more attractive thanks to the latest visual changes. The front fascia will get enlarged V-Motion grille and headlights are reshaped. The same grill is present on the model Nissan Rogue. However, on top of that, headlamps are slimmer now, just like the taillights.
This SUV will also lose some weight and aerodynamics are improved additionally. Nissan plans to offer power liftgate as standard. Moreover, dual-panel moonroof and roof rails will be in the offer as well. The side profile will get new beautiful lines. As a result, Pathfinder will be one of the most handsome models in its segment.
Cabin Comfort and Changes
The interior will also get modernization and more luxury. The forthcoming 2021 Nissan Pathfinder will also get a longer list of standard features. On top of that, we can expect some new optional amenities. For sure, some of the optional gear will be standard on the range-topping trim level. As we mentioned, Pathfinder continues to ride on the same platform. Interior room is unchanged and there will be room for seven passengers. Comfort is truly great, especially on upper trims.
For 2021, Pathfinder will get a cleaner dashboard that wears a simpler layout. The cabin in general looks more sophisticated. Design is impressive and Nissan will install more wood and trim accents. The infotainment system is up to date and 8-inch display remain as standard. This SUV will get new safety aids as well. However, all of the new stuff is optional on the base model. The mid-size SUV will continue to deliver an impressive cargo space and the interior will remain practical.
2021 Nissan Pathfinder Powertrain Specs and Towing Rate
We’ve heard plenty of speculations about the new powertrain option. For now, the 2021 Nissan Pathfinder will continue to use a 3.5-liter V6. This engine produces 285 HP and 260 lb-ft of torque. It is mated to an Xtronic CVT transmission. On top of that, a direct fuel injection system is offered as standard. Thanks to that, Pathfinder manages to return 24 mpg combined.
Furthermore, mid-size SUV can tow slightly over 6,000 pounds. Front-wheel-drive remains standard system while you can buy optional all-wheel-drive configuration. The possible new engine will be a turbocharged unit that will be optional. However, this is just a rumor for now. On the other hand, the Pathfinder Hybrid is about to arrive also. According to Nissan, this version will slightly improve the performances. Of course, you can expect around 35 mpg combined which is a drastic improvement.
Price and Release Date
The price of the new mid-size SUV will start at $35,500. There will be four trim levels and Platinum trim will cost around $52,000. The 2021 Nissan Pathfinder will hit the U.S. markets in the second half of 2020. On top of that, Pathfinder Hybrid should arrive at the same time and it will cost slightly over $40,000.
