Blue Oval has just revealed the new 2021 Ford Mustang Mach-E GT and GT performance edition SUVs. According to Ford, the upcoming models will be sportier and more potent than the regular version.
The Mach-E GT under the hood comes with a powertrain that can produce 480 horsepower and 600 lb-ft of torque. Fun fact, the GT Performance Edition has the same output, but it offers more torque, 634 lb-ft. Ford also claims that the Mustang Mach-E GT will run from 0 to 60 mph in 3.8 seconds, while the GT Performance Edition runs in 3.5 seconds.
2021 Ford Mustang Mach-E GT and GT Performance Styling
The new 2021 Ford Mustang Mach-E GT and GT Performance models are much more aggressive than the regular one. Mustang Mach-E GT comes with a carbonized gray grille, GT badging, red-painted Brembo brakes, and large 20-inch black wheels.
However, going for the Performance Edition, buyers will get even more. This model includes special badges, unique 20-inch wheels wrapped in Pirelli summer tires, and standard magnetorheological dampers. All Mach-Es models benefit from the low center of gravity and expected 50/50 weight distribution.
Interior Will Not Differ Too Much From the Regular Model
The new edition 2021 Ford Mustang Mach-E GT will continue with the same layout as the regular one. This model comes in the form of five seats, and even though it has a sloping roofline, it has pretty good headroom. Ford Performance is the better option, offering much more comfortable seats with metallic stitching and aluminum instrument panel.
Like in the base Mach-E, the overall feeling of spaciousness inside the GT is the same. Both models include the familiar 15.5-inch portrait-oriented control screen, Apple CarPlay/Android Auto, 4G LTE, and Wi-Fi connectivity.
Safety
The list of standard safety features includes the Ford Co-Pilot 360 2.0 with lane-keeping assist, forward-collision warning with automatic emergency braking, blind-spot monitoring, adaptive cruise control, and speed sign recognition.

The new 2021 Mustang Mach-E GT is a potent SUV that is equipped with an 88.0-kWh battery pack. This model is also powered by two electric motors, one on each axle, sending power to all four wheels. Thanks to these combinations, it results in 480 horsepower 600 lb-ft of torque. Compared to the regular model, it’s 134 horses more. On top of that, Mustang Mach-E GT runs to 60 mph in 3.8 seconds.
The Performance Edition offers the same output of 480 ponies, but it provides more torque (634 lb-ft). This model is quicker, running to 60 mph in 3.5 seconds. Ford also estimates that the standard GT will travel 250 miles on a single charge, while Performance Edition will reach little less than 235 miles.
Release Date and Cost
The new 2021 Ford Mustang Mach-E GT and GT performance edition SUV bring Mach-E to the higher level of sportiness. Both models look more aggressive, delivering plenty of power.
Ford revealed that models would be available at the end of the summer, while orders might be open in the spring. As for the pricing, Ford has yet to announce the cost of the Performance Edition and GT models.
