One of the fastest SUVs on the market 2021 Maserati Levante will get a mid-cycle refreshment for the next year. The new model is caught testing and for the first time, its body is 100% visible. At first glance, we mixed things up, that the spied model is the regular version. However, with further investigation, we realize that the caught model is wearing the most expensive trim Trofeo.
This model deploys Ferrari-built twin-turbo 3.8-liter V8 powertrain that can deliver 590 horses. We must mention that this powertrain is the most powerful in Levante’s line.
2021 Maserati Levante Refreshments
The new 2021 Maserati Levante is finally getting some small refreshments. As we can see from the first spy photos, the upcoming model will be part of a mid-cycle facelift. First thing first, the Levante Trofeo is caught testing on cold-weather in northern Sweden wearing no camouflage.
Whatsoever, the exterior changes will include restyled front bumper and updated taillights. Besides that, the new model still sporting an aggressive body and a quad exhaust system.
Interior Is Completely Covered Up
The cabin of the 2021 Maserati Levante is also spied. Unfortunately, the whole cabin is covered up. Thanks to that, it suggests that the interior will get some significant changes. Our sources reveal some information and the new Levante Trofeo will come with a fully digital instrument cluster.
On top of that, the manufacturer will add more upscale materials. Fiat Chrysler Automobiles did announce that this model is getting an advanced Uconnect system. Interestingly, the future cars from this manufacturer will use a 12.3-inch Ultra HD screen. So, we can expect the same infotainment system in the Levante model. Besides that, one can expect even better safety along with other minor enhancements such as new upholstery and trim options.
2021 Maserati Levante Under the Hood
The latest 2021 Maserati Levante is the SUV that will use the same platform as the Ghibli/Quattroporte models. Thanks to this robust platform, the new model will be available in four variants that are defined by power output. The base Levante and the Levante S are models that will use a twin-turbocharged 3.0-liter V6 that makes 345 horsepower.
However, choosing the S trim output with the same engine will jump to 424 hp. The range-topping trims like the Levante GTS and the Levante Trofeo are the most influential. Both one will use a turbocharged 3.8-liter V8 that generates 550 hp on GTS and 590 hp Trofeo, respectively. Besides that, all models above will use the same eight-speed automatic and all-wheel-drive system as standard.
Price and Arrival
Like the previous model, the new 2021 Maserati Levante will keep the same pricing range. This model starts at $75,980, plus a destination charge of $1,495. The more powerful Levante S will raise the cost to $86,980. Next up is the Levante GTS that comes with mighty twin-turbo V8 powertrain. This model starts at $119,980.
Furthermore, the most expensive one is the flagship model Trofeo, which can pass a $169,980 mark. Rival like Porsche Cayenne starts at $75,000, while the Cayenne Turbo cost more than Levante GTS about $125,650. The release date of all models will happen later this year.
