The new generation 2021 Lexus NX will be refreshed. This compact crossover continues to share the same platform and most of the cues with Toyota RAV4. However, the next-gen Toyota RAV 4 is riding on the new platform, and it provides a more attractive look than on the old platform.
The new 2021 Lexus NX is a compact crossover that looks stylish and futuristic outside. The front of this SUV is recognized thanks to the spindle grille and attractively shaped LED headlights. Interior Amenities and Comfort
The interior of 2021 Lexus NX will remains modern and stylish. However, Lexus will update it with some better materials, and it will add more soft-touch surfaces. Comfort is excellent, thanks to the smart use of upscale materials. Seats are supportive, and the front row is offering more support than the second one. However, the headroom behind is still a problem for adults but is ideal for smaller occupants.
The NX 300 is the SUV that offers plenty of standard equipment. 2021 Lexus NX Powertrain
There will be two variants of an engine under the hood of the new 2021 Lexus NX. The base model is powered by a 2.0-liter turbocharged powertrain that produces up to 235 horsepower and 260 lb-ft of torque. At this moment, there is no available fuel rating of the new model, but we can expect slightly better consumption than on the current one. The fuel economy on the current model is 22 mpg in the city and 28 mpg on the highway.
Hybrid Version
2021 Lexus NX 300h model will be available as well. The hybrid variant besides a more better look will also provide exceptional performance. It comes with a 2.5-liter inline-4 engine that is paired with two electric motors. The front electric motor makes 141 horsepower, while rear one delivers 67 horsepower. This combination delivers a total output of 194 horsepower.
On top of that, the hybrid employs a fuel-saving CVT (continuously variable transmission), and it provides an excellent economy of 33/30 mpg (AWD).
2021 Lexus NX Price and Release Date
The forthcoming 2021 Lexus NX will offer a great design and more features than the current one. Also, even the hybrid model is available with an astonishing fuel rating. The starting price of a standard model will be around $38,000.
However, the NX 300h version is slightly over $40,000. In the same price range are models like Acura RDX, and Volvo XC60. The new Lexus NX will be available on the market in the second half of 2020.
