Jaguar is ready to overhaul its line of SUVs in the following year. The recently spied 2021 Jaguar E-Pace is the second model after F-Pace that will be redesigned. Also, the carmaker will introduce at the same time next-gen XJ flagship sedan with battery-electric power.
The new E-Pace is caught testing these days, and its whole body is wrapped with camo. From the information that we got, the upcoming model is spotted testing near the automaker’s headquarters in the United Kingdom. It seems that E-Pace will suffer more changes this time. The new fascias front and rear, plus new internals for the headlights are visible at first glance. Besides that, we can expect some modifications under its hood.
2021 Jaguar E-Pace Design Overhaul
We have some exclusive images of the 2021 Jaguar E-Pace test mule. As we already mentioned, the upcoming model is caught testing and is wearing a full-body camouflage. Overall shape and proportion of this SUV will remain the same, but the disguise hints some revisions at the front. Most likely, Jaguar E-Pace is going to receive a new wider bumper and grille, as well as possibly different headlights system than before.
Some tweaks are also visible on the back, and the carmaker will use new taillights’ graphics. Moreover, the rear bumper also reveals that some modern touches to the lower part would happen. The twin-exhaust system is present as the new blacked wheels at the side profile.
Refreshed Cabin
The luxury SUV 2021 Jaguar E-Pace will get some updates inside. Unfortunately, at this moment, there are no available spy photos. From some speculations, the carmaker will use more soft-touch materials, and it will add more safety. Also, we can expect a refreshed dash, as well. A new digital instrument cluster and a larger infotainment screen are possible because the manufacturer also added it to the recently spied F-Pace model.
Moreover, the layout inside will remains the same, and this two-row seater will provide a roomy cabin for five occupants. The previous E-Pace was awarded by Euro NCAP with five stars, and we can assume that the new model will continue to dominate in this department. Standard safety kit includes emergency braking, a driver tiredness monitor, lane-keeping assistance, and front and rear parking sensors.
2021 Jaguar E-Pace Engine Performance
The newest 2021 Jaguar E-Pace is an SUV that sits on the strong platform that uses a combination of aluminum and steel. E-Pace will likely borrow the same mild- hybrid system from the related Land Rover Range Rover Evoque.
This engine consists of a 2.0-liter turbocharged inline-4 with and an electric motor-generator. According to the latest report, this powertrain will be able to produce 296 horsepower. It is a significant boost if we compare it to the previous model that delivers 246 hp. However, we are still waiting for more news about the transmission and fuel consumption rates.
Release Date and Price
The updated version of Jaguar E-Pace will come with significant changes. Its design will be better, and the carmaker will add more tweaks under its hood. The new generation of 2021 Jaguar E-Pace will arrive in the last quarter of 2020. The price of the base model will be $38,900.
