2021 Hyundai Palisade Calligraphy front

The Hyundai Palisade is getting a new trim called Calligraphy that is rated above top-end model Limited. Changes on this trim are evident and the 2021 Hyundai Palisade Calligraphy gets a special grille design and unique 20-inch alloy wheels. The cabin is spacious and the manufacturer quilted leather door panels inside and added many new techs.

Like the original model, the upcoming Calligraph is powered by the same powertrain. Under the hood of this model come with a very potent 3.8-litre V6 powertrain. From what we heard, the Calligraphy will reach dealers starting later this month.

2021 Hyundai Palisade Calligraphy Exterior Changes

The all-new 2021 Hyundai Palisade Calligraphy trim looks fancy. Compared to other Palisade model, it looks slightly different. Generally, we like this new styling that is somehow better and is giving more sharper lines. The most noticeable change on the front is a new grille mesh with triangular elements.

At the back, the new trim Calligraphy looks more recognized thanks to accent lighting and an ultra-wide LED centre high-mounted brake light. As you can see, everything is more upscale than on other trims. On top of that, the manufacturer added exclusively on the Calligraphy 20-inch wheels with an asymmetrical spoke pattern. Of course, we can expect more modifications to bring out a final version.

Luxurious Cabin

Definitively, the upcoming 2021 Hyundai Palisade Calligraphy adds more luxuries inside than other trims. Hyundai’s new trim features the same layout as the base one. The three-row SUV can accommodate seven passengers comfortably.

As we already mentioned, this trim is rated above top-end model Limited. It features a great package of equipment inside. Stepping in, the Calligraphy includes Nappa leather upholstery, heating and ventilated seats, 10.25-inch touchscreen with navigation, and a unique 12.3-inch fully digital instrument cluster. Open the doors, and you’ll see quilted-leather door panels, a microfiber suede headliner, and a perforated leather steering wheel that looks sporty.

2021 Hyundai Palisade Calligraphy Powertrain

Like the standard model, the new exclusive 2021 Hyunida Palisade Calligraphy will be available with a single-engine. This reliable SUV uses a 3.8-litre V6 powertrain that under the Calligraphy is able to produce 291 horsepower (216 kilowatts) and 262 pound-feet (355 newton-meters) of torque. As you can see, this amount of output is pretty good for such a huge SUV.

Besides a powerful engine, the manufacturer offered Calligraphy with an eight-speed automatic transmission. Unlike on a regular version, the all-wheel-drive system comes standard on the new trim. Interestingly, with this engine, all Palisade models can tow a maximum of 5,000-pounds.

Release Date and Price

The new 2021 Hyundai Palisade Calligraphy looks way better than any other trim that we saw earlier. According to the manufacturer, this SUV should be available to purchase this month. Moreover, opting for the new Calligraphy trim level will cost you over $48,890.

Compared to the cheapest Palisade that starts at $33,665, this increase is justified. Hyundai Palisade offers a great design and basically all features that you need inside. In the same class, one can get models that cost a hundred dollars less like Honda Pilot, Toyota Highlander, and Kia Telluride.
