The famous German automaker is ready to show its power through the new high-performance SUV 2021 Audi SQ5. According to the latest images, the upcoming model looks more competent than before.
This compact luxury crossover is very well balanced and is known for its quickness and comfort. Moreover, the interior of SQ5 continues to be well-appointed and is filled with rich materials and the latest techs. However, it falls short once again of its competitors, such as the Porsche Macan and the Mercedes-AMG GLC43.
2021 Audi SQ5 Reveals Aggressive Styling
Unlike the Q5 model, the upcoming 2021 Audi SQ5 version provides more aggressive styling and it`s a stronger competitor. This compact-luxury-crossover SUV offers a sporty design that is also present in the previous generation. The front fascia dominates thanks to a massive grille and fog-light openings.
On top of that, buyers can choose to get HID or LED headlights. Furthermore, the side profile reveals aggressive styling with a wheel-and-tire combo ranging from 18 to 20 inches. Basically, there will be plenty of customizations. The driver can choose among five different modes that recalibrate the setting for throttle, suspension, transmission shift points, and steering sensitivity. Exactly, the SQ5 will include five modes Comfort, Dynamic, Offroad, Individual and Automatic.
Interior Hosts Plenty of High-Quality Materials
The styling of the Audi SUVs nowadays is hard to beat. Inside the 2021 Audi SQ5 will be plenty of high-quality materials. This 2-row/5-passenger crossover SUV hosts leather, chrome, and wood all over the cabin. However, thanks to that, most competitors fall in this department. Like the many cars from this manufacturer, the SQ5 also comes with the famous Virtual Cockpit as standard.
Everything inside is luxurious and the only lack that SQ5 has is its cargo capacity. We must say that it falls short of the BMW X3 and Acura RDX. However, folding the rear seats, one can expand cargo volume to nearly 60 cubic feet. The standard features list is long and this model includes leather interior, heated front seats, tri-zone climate control, plus Apple CarPlay, and Android Auto.
On the safety front, the Driver Assistance package will be available with the latest adaptive cruise control with Traffic Jam Assist and Active Lane Assist.
2021 Audi SQ5 Under the Hood
The latest 2021 Audi Q5 will be available with three engines. The first one is a 2.0-liter turbo inline-4 powertrain. The next one has been joined the Q5 family recently as a plug-in engine. This engine consists of a 2.0-liter turbocharged inline-4/permanent magnet electric motor that makes 362 horsepower. The last one is under the high-performance 2021 Audi SQ5 model. It comes with a turbocharged V6 that delivers 101 more horsepower than a standard Q5. This engine delivers a total of 349 horsepower and it uses a new Tiptronic 8-speed automatic.
