The forthcoming 2020 Honda Crosstour is a comfortable SUV with plenty of modern amenities. It offers very sporty exterior design and the styling is exceptional. The interior is technology-rich which means there is a lot of standard equipment. The brand-new Crosstour comes in three different trim levels and it offers two engine options.
The 2020 model won’t get so many changes. 2019 represents the comeback of the SUV, so the 2020 model will be a carryover. However, the model is fresh and new, it looks attractive and is very versatile. There is room for five persons from the inside and the comfort is on a high level. From some speculation, the new model will share many cues with the Concept D model.
2020 Honda Crosstour Design is Unique
The Crosstour model borrowed plenty of styling cues from the current Honda Accord model. The result is a fine-looking SUV with a sporty appearance. The character lines are very pronounced and thanks to that, the styling is fascinating.
The design is very modern, closer to the newest sedans than to the actual SUV. In reality, the 2020 Honda Crosstour is a crossover which its name strongly suggests. The exterior is similar to the Accord and the ride height very much alike. The front end is very attractive but it is far from unique. Honda is already offering some models with the same grille and headlights.
2020 Honda Crosstour Interior Offers a 7-inch Touchscreen Unit
From the inside, the 2020 Honda Crosstour will also look to mirror the Accord model. That includes the same dash design and the general interior design. One thing that helps the Crosstour SUV to make a real standout is its long list of standard features. The base model offers a 7-inch touchscreen unit, dual-zone climate control, and smartphone integration.
The comfort is great and the cabin is using a lot of upscale materials. There is room for five passengers across the two rows of seats. Legroom is above average for the segment so we could say it is ample. Cargo area is rated at almost 26.0 cubic feet and folding the rear seats opens up to 51.5 cubic feet of space. Most of the safety aids are optional or standard on higher trim levels.
2020 Honda Crosstour Engine and Fuel Consumption
The upcoming SUV will offer two engine options. That means there will be no changes under the hood. The 2020 Honda Crosstour will deploy a 2.4-liter four-cylinder as the standard engine. It can produce 192 HP and 162 lb-ft of torque. A 5-speed automatic transmission is standard and the engine is rated at 22 mpg in the city and 31 mpg on the highway. The optional 3.5-liter V6 can generate 280 horsepower and 252 lb-ft of torque.
The optional unit comes with the 6-speed automatic transmission. 20 mpg in the city and 30 mpg on the highway is still good fuel economy figures. All-wheel-drive is optional as well while the front-wheel-drive setup is standard. It is not confirmed yet, but the hybrid drivetrain could be in the offer for the 2020 model.
2020 Honda Crosstour Price and Release Date
The all-new 2020 Honda Crosstour will cost $30,000. The range-topping model is priced at $40,000. It is almost brand-new SUV and it will arrive at the end of 2019 or beginning of 2020.
