The forthcoming 2019 Chevy Suburban is a full-size SUV that is real family-favorite. It can fit up to seven passengers and is a perfect vehicle for longer trips. The Suburban model is present for over 80 years now, and it is Chevrolet’s longest-running nameplate. The exterior looks sleek and the interior is really massive. Moreover, interior sports plenty of modern high-tech amenities and the layout is pretty clever. There is only one powertrain in the offer and it is a strong V8 that can tow over 8,000 pounds.
The 2019 Chevy Suburban model will compete with the rivals such as Ford Expedition Max, Toyota Sequoia, and Nissan Armada. While the rivals are looking more sophisticated and are offering better tow rating, they just can’t compete with the Suburban’s interior. The 2019 model will get LED daytime running lights as standard, along with the new Brembo brakes and Borla exhaust system. Most significant innovation could be a new RST (Rally Sport Truck) package, and we’ll get to that later.
2019 Chevy Suburban exterior looks classy
The all-new 2019 Chevy Suburban comes with a commanding presence. The new model will sport sharper and longer flowing lines. The lines are perfectly hiding the length of this robust SUV. Importantly, new Suburban will share almost nothing with the Silverado pickup truck, Suburban’s counterpart. The dimensions of this SUV will stay intact. The overall design looks classy and the exterior features are tied up to the trim levels. The base model offers side steps, roof rails and LED daytime running lights as standard.
The LS models will add a standard liftgate and LT trim comes with the power liftgate. The Premium models are available with the free gesture-operated liftgate. With this system, you can open the liftgate with the wave of your foot under the rear bumper. Moreover, Premium models are offering HID headlights and fog lights. If you opt for the LS and LT models, 18-inch wheel are standard and the Premium comes with 20-inch aluminum wheels.
2019 Chevy Suburban cabin is very comfortable
For the start, the interior of the 2019 Chevy Suburban can be easily compared to the luxury sedans. From the first moment you step inside, you will see how pleasing and inviting the cabin is. The shapes of the vents and controls look artful, materials are upscale, along with the finishes. The second-row seats are comfortable and reclining but you can’t slide them fore and aft. The third row offers great legroom and the adults could fit in there with no problem.
Longer trips with this full-size SUV are comfy and the cargo area is ample, so you can put even a longer stuff in there. Cargo room is rated at 39.3 cubic feet behind the third row of seats and folding the seats flat will open additional space. Moreover, there is a hidden storage area under the floor.
2019 Chevy Suburban engine specs
This full-size SUV will offer one powertrain unit as the current model. It is a well-known and proven 5.3-liter engine that comes with the 6-speed automatic transmission. This powerful V8 is capable of producing up to 355 horses and 383 lb-ft of torque. The fuel economy is reasonable and the latest systems will improve the efficiency a bit more.

Those figures are for the two-wheel-drive models, while the four-wheel-drive models will provide around 15 mpg in the city and 22 mpg on the highway. The transmission feels smooth and the 2019 Chevy Suburban can tow up to 8,300 pounds.

The package provides a 9-passenger interior configuration, it brings more power and more aggressiveness. A 10-speed automatic transmission is available with this V8 beast. Furthermore, a Magnetic Ride Control is available, along with the new Brembo brakes and a Borla exhaust system.
The exterior will look more aggressive and will add more chrome trims. Body-color features are in the offer as well and you can choose a gloss black grille and mirror caps, along with the black badges.
